About Nisan

Nisan Lamden is the founder and mastermind behind the FDA cleared and registered beauty product Dual-Shave. He is a licensed and certified cosmetologist based in Los Angeles, California. Nisan specializes in hair, skin and nail care and possesses a strong attention to detail. Nisan Lamden is a highly successful activist and is a thought leader in his community.

Nisan Lamden began his career in the family business as a diamond grader, dealer and  jeweler. He attended UCLA and has a degree/certification from the Gemological Institute of America. Nisan has over 14 years of experience in the industry, but wanted to add to his professional repertoire. Nisan increasingly became more interested in hair and skin care and decided to change career paths to pursue a cosmetology degree. He is currently licensed in California and his talents had landed him a career at the number 1 ranked hair salon in Beverly Hills before he moved on to starting his own company.

During his extensive work with salons in California he noticed other stylists producing their own products, however they were not original and would copy the formulas of their favorite products and put their new name and label on them. Nisan set out to create a brand new product that would fix any skin care issue and produced the ultimate skin care product, Dual-Shave. Dual-Shave is a multi-use beauty product that has versions made specifically for both men and women. His product helps prevent acne, blackheads, aging and even reduces or eliminates razor burn that results from shaving. As an added bonus none of his products are tested on animals in any capacity.

Nisan Lamden is a highly effective activist with many successes under his belt. His company, Dual-Shave, is a massive advocate for animal rights and has been commended for their positive example to the world for animal free product testing. Nisan was also instrumental in the distribution and signing of the anti-plastic straws petition that was delivered to Starbucks. Because of his dedication and perseverance the petition was recently accepted and put into motion. This will drastically cut down on the plastic waste Starbucks produces and have a positive impact on the environment. Currently Nisan is a prominent member of a movement that is striving to provide FedEx drivers with AC and heat in their trucks. FedEx drivers currently have no way of battling temperature and in communities with extreme heat waves and freezing temperatures these conditions can quickly become dangerous. Nisan Lamden will no doubt continue to achieve success with his company and in his pursuits to help notable causes and will become even more of an inspiration in his community and beyond.

Entrepreneurs and innovators are constantly coming up with new ideas every day. They are wired to seek out opportunities for new improvements in current or possible products. Though not all ideas are brought into the real world. There are ways to identify if you should take the time and spend the money to create this new idea.

 

Does it solve a problem?

Many ideas come from real life situations. If it affects you, friends, family, or acquaintances it probably affects other people in the world. Thinking about what the problem may be can help you discover a solution for it. Typically entrepreneurs write down their ideas to keep track of potential success. Go through your list of ideas and see if any of them can solve the problem.

 

Is it a need?

Though it may be a great idea and can be useful, you need to determine if your consumers will need it. The main goal of a product is for customers to pay for it. If they don’t need it, more often than not, they won’t waste their money on the product. Even if it seems like a simple idea, if there is a market for it, it could find success.

 

Is it scalable?

Once you find the solution to a problem, you must determine if you can do it at a reasonable price point. Discovering ways to make a solution that is less expensive will make the idea more legitimate. You need to make a valuable product for a low value but expect consumers to pay more. Once you determine a price point, you can assess if the solution will be profitable.

 

Are you passionate about it?

In the last article, Habits of an Innovator, I discuss how innovators need to be passionate about their ideas. You want your ideas to reflect something you care about. If you start launching this idea and there are hitches along the way, you are more likely to stick with the idea you are passionate about. You need to have patience and watch this idea grow. It is more fulfilling when you watch something you really care about becoming successful.

The world is constantly changing, technology is improving, industries are revolutionizing themselves. To be able to make a change, you need to fuel your creativity and ideas with studying new things. Traveling can open the mind to new cultures, languages, and people. It will expand your mind and create a more creative flow.

Be Curious

Innovators question everything. They question things that others will just accept. Innovators will take the opportunity to investigate and examine things to be able to consider other possibilities.
